Lady Alesone Gray
Textile Artillerist, Grumpiness Containment Officer
Bloody Jenny Bonney

FENCING in the SCA since:
April 2008.

DESCRIPTION of Militia Duties:
Textile Artillerist -- If you've never thought of clothing as something that could be "fired off," then you might not get this title. Much like Ian and his "BAM! There's a pot" style of ceramic creation, Alesone has an uncanny ability to create things out of fabric as if they were fired from a cannon. Or something. OK, OK... it's really because she likes fabric and really big guns.

Grumpiness Containment Officer -- Have you met Melchior? His surname means "cantankerous..." and Alesone is aces at mitigating said cantankerousness (you're welcome). It's a little like Molly's job.

PIRATE NAME/other personas
Bloody Jenny Bonney was described thus by the test:

Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

REAL WORLD INFO, family, work, etc.:
User interface design manager for hospitality software, which means I make things look pretty. In my spare time (hmmm... spare time, there's a concept), I am a costumer who has spent more time sewing for the 16th century, than all other centuries combined.

Alesone Gray, is the daughter of a successful merchant that made a sizable donation to the crown and received a Knighthood. She grew up in Cranleigh village, Surrey, as the youngest sibling with 5 older brothers. She was taught dancing at an early age, by the master hired to teach her brothers fencing. She would secretly watch the fencing lessons, longing to play with the blades. After being caught on numerous occasions with weapons in hand, her father allowed her to take lessons with her brothers. She eventually cajoled her father into allowing her to be trained to use black powder and cannons.
